Em was wondering why Kat is such a snob and accidently spoke out loud, "What other nonsense do you have up your sleeve?" She didn't realize she said that out loud and continued murmuring except in dwarven, "In the beginning I thought she was a joke now she isn't, she's a lowlife poor commoner that doesn't even know how to speak lowcommon. That stupid illiterate! Her horse Ginger is even better than her! And what stupid names Ginger and Bambina. I bet they want to buck her off their backs!" she stopped.

Wulf rolled his eyes and said, "I can see that we may need an etiquette lesson as well..."

"What?" she turned her head toward Wulf. She didn't hear what he had just said.

Wulf repeated, "Oh yes. You definately need some lessons on manners."

"Oh! I want to AGREE!" Kat said and smiled, "As for you Em, my horses actually LIKE me. Unlike you. And they LIKE their names. Unlike you," she started to coo at her horse, "And I like their names too. Unlike you. So I want my apple and a half back!" she commanded Em's horse to vomit, it didn't listen.

"I'll be willing to go to etiquette class if I return to Catarath to see my mother. She'll be suprised," She said proudly."When are we going to go to the regia, palace? Write that down Kat," hoping that it's soon, she realized she forgot to write a letter to Charlie this month! She fed Baculum a nice handful of oats she had grabbed at the stables. It seems as though he wanted to run some more though. So Em mounted and trotted in circles, training him how to go left and right, how to halt, how to canter, and gallop. At the end of this harsh training Em dismounted him and began massaging the horses neck muscles. This reminded her of her brother Alex who would have loved it to see her riding her very first horse. On January 22, he would be 23. She wondered where he was now.

Kat scribbles in the notebook in her usually messy scrawl... regia-palace. "Em... who's Charlie?" Kat asked.

"My brother of course! He's over at Halstrom teaching English and mathematics classes," Em stated cheerfully. "I don't want to write my letter to him I'd rather just go visit him. You wanna know what's weird about him?" She continues before anyone can talk, "He always corrects my errors in my letter, I hate him being a scholar I'd rather him be a hero," and with that she rolled her eyes.

"Well... it is good for you that you actually have brothers that pay some attention to you... Mine don't even know I exist anymore," Kat said, "But it is kinda funny that he corrects you..." she giggled, "But you can think of him as a hero anyway... even though he is a scholar, think what I have... NOTHING," Kat said angered. "Besides... I think they are both dead anyway..."

"MAII zun-nug!!" (well sor-ry) Lisbetha said in a snotty tone. "I didn't intend to insult you oh mighty MUNNALUR!" She noticed that her voice was rising and quieted down. "Sorry the stoopid horse just buc-" then looked behind her at the greenish man, "Lizard-man..." she whispered and rode the way she had just come.

"Lisbetha," Wulf called, "here are you going?" To Kat, he said, "I have a brother too. He's on border duty at the moment now, and constantly says that his little brother needs some more training..." Wulf rolled his eyes.

Kat mounted her horse again and ran to the end of the field and back, Bambina was getting bored. "Yeah Wulf but as I said, I think they are both dead anyway," Kat said when she got back, "I didn't like them... they were mean... just because I was younger than them. Then again... I think my dad is dead too..." Kat started to count on her fingers, "So my mom died when I was two... I don't know where my brothers are... probably dead... I don't know where my dad is... probably dead... YUP! That's it... I have no more family... but I think my grandparents are still alive..."

"Lucky!" Wulf said. "I dread the coming holidays." He shivered, remembering how upset his mother was when he came home with long hair. "My family is alive and well, unless my dad died on border duty..."

"Nah, I don't think my family would be to pleased with me if I did," said Wulf, smiling.
