There were two parties on the the Elven Council as any self-respecting elf within 500 milesof Treetops would tell you. The Libretes and the Monarchists. The former was pro-democracy,woman sufferage, and a human groom for the half-human daughter of their ruler. The latter liked the idea of a king, thought men (and ONLY men) were created equal, and demanded that Lizbetha marry a wealthy elven noble. Debates about these subjects had gone on for years and not only was the king getting worried about the two groups he also had to bear the burrden that both of his children were missing. Around him the political war went on. "She must marry a human! An alliance with them would lead to greater things!" "No a marraige treaty to an elf! One of us would never let her wander!" As the mudslinging continued the ruler of Treetops sighed.

Cantarus was having a bad day. Not only did the rest of the counsil members vote against total war with the dwarves thay also desided that the crown princess would not be under his complete control. ~How dumb is THAT?~ he thought, ~ obviously no one else can control her!~ He thought about this new problem. Cantarus told the counsil his idea. "If a member of the counsil finds the girl than Lizbetha's custody would be turned over to him. Her brother seems to be doing a top-notch job" he said drily. The counsil agreed. Cantaurus's day was getting better.

The Elven king was enraged at this desision. His child was his and no one should be able to take her from him. He wouldn't be able to do anything though. Cantarus's plan was working. He sent out several searchers. Then he grinned.

He had waited. AND WAITED. Then they had come back. And told him that they had been thrown out a window. So he killed them.

Cantarus hired another person. 'You will go and find her.' he said. 'Alive and well, bring her back.' his heirling left.
