Dear Adara,
Sounds like you've been having an interesting time wherever you are. I don't understand at all why Grace is giving you a hard time about your hair. I'm sure it looks great.
This desert is bloody awful. It's hot and humid. Gross. My hair is incredibly frizzy.
I'm not sure if you heard from Wulf about it, but I got in a little... tussle with some knights.
You know. The ones I threw the knife at.
FLASHBACK
Kat spotted the knights when she, Wulf, and the others arrived at camp. One of them had a heavily bandaged leg.
She walked up to them, "I didn't go home to mommy. Sorry to disappoint you."
One of them freaked, "It's YOU."
Kat whipped out a knife and held it in front of her, "Don't get any closer, skippy."
He lunged at Kat and she immediately tackled him face first into the dirt. She sat on his back.
So... How does it feel? Getting beaten down by a squire? A GIRL nonetheless?
The knight squirmed under her, his eyes moving rapidly. His friends looked at him quizzically, but did nothing to help him.
She got up off the knight, "Don't you EVER mess with me," she said. I mean it. She added with a flourish to all three of their minds.
She turned to walk away and came face to face with the extremely red captain.

Needless to say, he wasn't happy. At ALL. Neither was Wulf.
But did he really think I was going to take that? I think not.
But we were reassigned, and now all we do is wander around the desert all day on horses and get a nice coating of grainy sand.
But I have been using that sun guard cream you sent me. I haven't gotten any serious burns, thank the Gods. I'm just extremely freckly.
Speaking of skin... Wulf got that wonderful tattoo of his. And no, he wasn't drunk at all. It was fantastic to see him scream and whimper as the cut the design into his skin. Even better to see his face when he discovered he got a tattoo of a WOLF.
He wouldn't let me get one though. I really should go back...
We should be coming back soon... In a few months.
Oh. I forgot to mention.
James is an absolute IDIOT. He's not going to be coming back with us. He's going to stay on border duty. I'm sick of his neglect anyway. We're through. ...Blithering idiot...
I deserve better.
Let me know if you know any sweet thief boys... I'm sure that'd be a great change of pace... Even though Wulf would kill me. Even so, that'd be hilarious.
Hope to see you soon (enough)
