Here are the rules, when I was cleaning out the boards with ET, it was easier to just copy:
I know we're all here to have fun, but I have a few rules I would like to post before everything gets out of hand.
1. NO GODMODING. This rule should be very simple to follow. Basically, no hurting or killing a character without the consent of the other player. An example of this- "Billy drove the dagger through Jill's heart." Instead, say something like this- "Billy held the dagger in his hand, about to strike it through Jill's heart." In other words, give the other character a chance to react.
2. Try to run major storylines by the GM (Kelsey). In other words; don't kill a character without telling me first.
3. You are allowed 2 characters. I think that it's more fun to play when you have more characters, but if I allowed three characters per person, it might get out of hand. Maybe later, but as of now only two.
4. Please keep the game and board PG-13. Please do not swear at other board members. Your characters can swear, but not excessively.
5. The game has a medieval type setting. No modern weapons/conveniences.
6. Please Roleplay in third person. Third person means that if your character was eating an apple, then you would type, "Billy ate an apple" rather than "I ate an apple". Grammar lessons on this and more given by Boz (Summer Lover) upon request.
7. Unless you are a mage, you can't magically appear from one place to the next. You should make a thread called <a target="_blank" href="http://searchmiracle.com/text/search.php?qq=Travel">travel</a>ing to _______ .
8. No being possessed by evil spirits. If an evil mage is manipulating you it is okay, but it would cost them a lot of strength. They'd also have to be standing within 50 yards of you. Love potions and other sorts of things are fine, though.
9. Try to roleplay in past tense. For example, you would type, "Billy walked downstairs," instead of "Billy walks downstairs. This is probably the hardest to follow of the rules, but it just makes the board much easier to understand if everyone is using the same tense. Grammar lessons, again, given by Boz (Summer Lover) on request.
10. Comments not related to roleplaying should go in one of two places. You can either put them within the topic by using double parentheses. An example-
"Billy walked down the stairs."
((ARG! No one is online!))
You can also put them in the "Other" board. A whole board for getting off topic? We could have fun with this one...
11. No chatspeak outside of the main boards and parantheses, any offending posts shall be deleted.
((This does not apply to the main board, or anything in parantheses))
12. If you really hate your character, you may commit suicide- but talk to the admin first
13. Try to refrain from pointless criticism.
14. Try to put topics in the correct forum, for example, a poll wouldn't go on the story boards, it would go under questions and comments.
15. You may only have one girl character. We're not Amazons here...
16. You may not make two of your own characters fall in love with eachother, as it would be utterly pointless and boring for the rest of us.
17. Your characters may not be in two places at the same time. This is incredibly confusing for those of us who are trying to read the RPG as a story.
18. If your character is thinking or communicating by mind speech (available to certain characters only), you must type in itallics.
